What is Virthalam Foundation?
Virthalam Foundation is a Section 8 (Non-Profit) Company dedicated to documenting, preserving, and digitally sharing India’s ancient temple heritage. We provide free cultural and spiritual resources through a mobile app and online platform.
Is Virthalam Foundation a government organization?
No. Virthalam Foundation is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization,registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (India). However, we collaborate with temple boards, HR&CE departments, and NGOs for research and outreach.
How does Virthalam Foundation make money?
We do not operate for profit. Virthalam Foundation is fully funded by:
- Donations from individuals and well-wishers
- CSR contributions from organizations
- Grants for cultural preservation projects
We have no ads, no subscriptions, and no commercial models.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! We are approved under:
- Section 12A – Tax-exempt status for Virthalam Foundation
- Section 80G –Donors receive 50% tax deduction on eligible donations
An official 80G receipt is emailed after each contribution.
How can I volunteer?
Anyone can join us! You can:
